Beecher trustees approve $84,829.97 in bills, adopt brush-collection ordinance

Treasurer Donna Lippelt presented the Treasurer's Report at the Sept. 8 Village Board meeting. Trustee Kraus moved and Trustee Stacey seconded approval of the Treasurer's Report and the payment of bills and payroll since the last meeting; the motion carried unanimously. The minutes list the bills amount as $84,829.97.
Separately, Trustee Gardner moved and Trustee Stacey seconded approval of Ordinance #1439, which amends Section 8‑6‑14 of the Beecher Village Code related to brush collection. That motion also passed unanimously (6–0).
Variance reports, monthly department reports for Public Works, Water and the Wastewater Treatment Plant, and the Police/EMA/Code Enforcement reports were provided to the Board for review. The Board also discussed routine public-safety and staffing items; the creation of an adjudication clerk position was continued into executive session.
The Board adjourned to executive session at 6:39 p.m. to discuss personnel, returned at 6:52 p.m., and adjourned the regular meeting at 7:17 p.m.
