The Bridgman City Council voted 5-1 on June 8 to approve a $167,447 professional services agreement with Sinclair Recreation (GameTime) for the Downtown Bridgman Courtyard Project, funded through an MDOT Shared Streets and Spaces grant. The motion, moved by Council Member Bonkoske and seconded by Mayor Jan Trapani, authorized Parks & Recreation Director Pendergast to execute the agreement.
Council Member Boyd questioned whether the proposed installation could obstruct the view of the memorial clock and suggested alternative uses for the grant funds. The council discussed those concerns but approved the contract with Boyd casting the lone dissenting vote.
The contract approval is recorded as Consent Item 8D, with funding tied to the MDOT grant. Council did not amend the contract language at the June 8 meeting. Implementation follow-up and construction scheduling will be handled by the Parks & Recreation Department.
