Director of Public Works Mitch Vis presented the proposed 2026 Department of Public Works budget during the Oct. 6 Village Board meeting. Administrator Nick Leonard told trustees that the 2026–2030 Capital Improvement Plan total was approximately $200,000 less than in the prior review because Prospect Avenue striping was removed from the plan.
President Michael Streetar said he had visited the Community Center and did not believe the cabinets required replacement. The board agreed to inspect the cabinets and the Community Center fence and to revisit the repairs at the next meeting rather than include them immediately in the CIP.
No formal vote on the budget or CIP changes was recorded; trustees received the presentation and directed staff to inspect the Community Center items and return with recommendations.
