Tippecanoe County APC executive committee approves minutes, schedules June public hearings and OKs budget report

The Area Plan Commission of Tippecanoe County executive committee on June 3, 2026 approved minutes from its May 6 meeting, voted to place several subdivision and rezone petitions on upcoming public hearing agendas and approved the budget report before adjourning at 4:35 p.m. Jackson Bogan called the meeting to order and Attorney Eric Burns called roll.
Committee member Larry Leverenz moved to approve the minutes of the May 6, 2026 meeting; Diana Luper seconded and the motion carried by unanimous voice vote. The committee then agreed to place five subdivision petitions on the Area Plan Commission public hearing agenda for June 17, 2026 at the petitioners' request: S-5356 Heartland North Minor Subdivision (minor-sketch); S-5360 Koinonia Ridge Subdivision, Pt 3 (major-preliminary); S-5361 Hailstorm Subdivision, a replat of Lots 3 & 4 in Mystic Woods Subdivision (major-preliminary); and S-5362 Millbrook Subdivision, Section 2, Phase 1 (major-preliminary). The motion was made by Leverenz and seconded by Luper and approved by unanimous voice vote.
Leverenz then moved to place two rezone petitions on the June 17 APC public hearing agenda: Z-3029 (TRG West Lafayette, LLC, R3 to NB) and Z-3034 (Lennar Homes of Indiana, LLC, A to R1B). Diana Luper seconded; the motion carried unanimously.
The committee also voted to place three petitions on the Area Board of Zoning Appeals public hearing agenda for June 24, 2026: BZA-2231 (Luis F. Meza-Soto), BZA-2232 (Anthony J. Schafer) and BZA-2233 (TRG West Lafayette, LLC). The motion to place those petitions was moved by Leverenz, seconded by Luper and approved by unanimous voice vote.
Under variances, the committee reported that no new variances were filed this month for the Lafayette Division of the ABZA. On the budget, Leverenz moved to approve the budget report "as submitted" (transcript text: "approve the May 2026 Budget Report as submitted"); Luper seconded and the motion carried by unanimous voice vote. Executive Director Ryan O'Gara was present to answer questions.
There was no other business. Leverenz moved to adjourn and the meeting adjourned at 4:35 p.m. The items placed on the June 17 and June 24 public hearing agendas will proceed to their respective public hearings on those dates.
