During the council meeting the body approved routine business: prior minutes and the tax collector report; road-closure requests for concerts, festivals and parades (items 6A–6F); Parks & Recreation donations for a 8-mile and 5K road race; acceptance of a $500 Connecticut Fair Plan Anti-Arson Committee grant to purchase a high-resolution camera for arson documentation; acceptance of an $18,022.99 distracted-driving high-visibility enforcement (DDHVE) grant from the Connecticut Department of Transportation Highway Safety Office; and a $100 seed donation to the public library.
