County approves $17,850 subscription to Tyler Technologies training for staff

Bonner County commissioners approved the purchase of a Tyler Technologies PACE 15 training subscription for county staff at a cost of $17,850.
Jessica Stefan presented the request, saying the subscription provides ongoing access to Tyler Enterprise training resources, up to 12 attendees per class, three annual conference registrations and as many as 15 days of on-demand or live webinar training. "The total cost of this is $17,850," Stefan said, adding the county budgeted funds for training in the general fund and that this option was less expensive than the in‑person training the county had considered.
Commissioners confirmed the funds were available in the education line of the general fund and discussed whether the chair should sign contract documents administratively; staff clarified that a contract review by legal would be required if a contract is necessary. The motion to approve the purchase was seconded and passed by roll call.
The training subscription will be implemented by the county finance and IT staff after any required legal review of contracting documents.
