The Okoboji City Council on June 17 approved Pay Application #2 for $23,510.27 for the 2025 City of Okoboji Morningside Drive reconstruction project.
Mayor Mary VanderWoude presented the pay application. City Administrator Michael Meyers said the city should pay as much of the project as possible within fiscal year 2026, which ends June 30, because the work was budgeted in the current year. Councilmember Hentges moved approval and Councilmember Jim Delperdang seconded; Councilmembers Andres, Delperdang and Hentges voted "YEA," and the motion passed 3-0.
Brad Englund of Beck Engineering provided a project update, saying the reconstruction was largely complete with the exception of a few paver driveways and finishing seeding work. The council did not record additional conditions or amendments to the pay application during the meeting.
The council adjourned at 8:37 a.m.
