The Okoboji City Council approved Resolution No. 26-09 on June 17, transferring $270,000 from the General Fund (001) to the Capital Projects Fund (301) and $387,500 from the Water Fund (600) to the Debt Service Fund (200). The measure passed on a 3-0 vote.
City Administrator Michael Meyers outlined the transfers during the meeting and noted the moves were budgeted for fiscal year 2026, which ends June 30. Mayor Mary VanderWoude presented the resolution and Councilmember Hentges moved to approve it; Councilmember Andres seconded. Councilmembers Andres, Delperdang and Hentges voted "YEA," and the motion carried.
The transfers shift $270,000 into the capital account to fund planned projects and move $387,500 to cover debt-service obligations from the Water Fund. The council recorded the votes but did not discuss amendments or conditions tied to the transfers during the meeting.
