Spencer reports $145,687 in SRTS funds, playground installed and driver's license kiosk operational

In his report to the council on March 26, Mayor Farmer said the City of Spencer has received $145,687 from the SRTS grant program. He also noted the city did not receive the TDOT Transportation Planning grant.
Mayor Farmer reported playground equipment has been installed and that leftover funds are being considered for additional equipment. He said the driver's license kiosk is up and running and that Main Street Journal will expand coverage to include Spencer, which the paper already covers in neighboring Sparta and McMinnville. The mayor also said Caney Fork Electric sent updates regarding city street lights.
No action items were taken during the mayor’s report; the council moved to adjourn following the report.
