The Heart of Habersham Downtown Development Authority convened Feb. 4 at 4:37 p.m. and unanimously approved an amended agenda and corrected minutes from Dec. 3. Patti Davis moved to approve the amended agenda and the minutes; Kristi Ryals seconded the agenda motion and Kari Goemans seconded the minutes motion; both motions passed with unanimous approval.
Board members discussed prospective directors, including inviting Joel (Bangkok Bistro) and Maria (owner of a downtown building). The authority added an action item to the March agenda to consider expansion of downtown Demorest and the terms and swearing-in of DDA directors.
Members also discussed upcoming events: Davis described the event committee's July 4 planning and suggested focusing Music Monday outreach on a Back-to-School Bash in August rather than a regular Music Monday series. The authority considered entering executive session but did not do so.
Shawn Allen moved to adjourn at 5:50 p.m.; Kristi Ryals seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The board did not take any executive actions or votes beyond approvals of the agenda, minutes and adjournment recorded in the meeting minutes.
