Hoffman Estates Chamber hosts fishing derby, unveils new business locations

The Hoffman Estates Chamber of Commerce staged its annual community fishing derby at South Ridge Lake and celebrated several local business openings and ribbon‑cuttings.
"Welcome to the 2026 fishing derby here in Hoffman Estates," Trustee Anna Nuelle said, welcoming participants to the Father’s Day weekend event. Trustee Karen Arnett joined her in inviting families and thanking sponsors.
Organizers said the lake was stocked and thanked sponsors that supported the event, naming the Mid‑America Carpenters Regional Council, Hoffman Estates Community Bank, the Hoffman Estates Park District, the Village of Hoffman Estates, Divine Signs and Graphics, the Daily Herald Media Group and Minuteman Press.
Separately the Chamber presented ribbon‑cutting ceremonies for the Dollar Group, a wealth management firm that described its new office and services, and for WT Group, an engineering and design firm with roots in Hoffman Estates dating to 1971. Officials presented ceremonial keys to the village to acknowledge the businesses’ local presence.
The Hideaway Brew Garden marked the opening of a newly renovated building with new restrooms, a full kitchen with walk‑in coolers and freezers, expanded cooking equipment, an enlarged pavilion, vintage heated campers and expanded seating; organizers said the venue will offer live music and operate Thursday through Sunday.
The events were presented on the Hoffman Estates Citizen broadcast and included remarks from trustees and business representatives.
