Selectman Jack Joslyn, Selectman Patricia Massey and Selectman Ronald Whitcomb were recorded as present; Judith Stumpo, the town’s revenue collector, and Ashley StJean, recording secretary, attended. Joslyn opened the meeting at 10:00 a.m. and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
On procedural business, Selectman Patricia Massey moved, seconded by Selectman Ronald Whitcomb, to approve the amended April 15, 2026 regular meeting minutes. The board recorded a split vote: Joslyn and Whitcomb in favor and Massey opposed; the motion carried 2-1. The board received motions and votes to table approval of the amended May 20, 2026 minutes and the June 3, 2026 minutes to allow additional edits; both tabling motions carried unanimously.
Under unfinished business, Joslyn reported there were no new updates on proposed ordinances. He also stated there were no new updates on Brookfield Husky Solar, LLC d/b/a Verogy’s application for a Certificate of Environmental Compatibility & Public Need and directed interested parties to the Connecticut Siting Council website for status updates.
The board considered a revised, more detailed quote for LED lights and dimmer switches that had been requested by Massey at the previous meeting. Massey moved, seconded by Whitcomb, to approve the LED lights and dimmer switches quote; the motion carried 3-0.
Joslyn noted the town’s old bus has been removed from sale pending further discussion with Kim Gunn, Bob Salisbury and Hunter Wood.
In new business, Joslyn said the driveway construction permit at 641 Margaret Henry Road had been inspected and endorsed by the town building official, Kyle Collins. Whitcomb moved, seconded by Massey, to approve the driveway permit; the motion carried 3-0.
On finance, Whitcomb moved, seconded by Massey, to approve the monthly invoices totaling $58,269.01. Massey asked for clarification about varying payment amounts listed under “Rec. Activities–Entertainment.” After discussion the motion carried 3-0.
The meeting record shows no additional business. Whitcomb moved, seconded by Massey, to adjourn at 10:28 a.m.; the motion carried 3-0. Ashley StJean attested to the minutes.
