Supervisors approve treasurer's report, bills and Pretzel City Sports permit; other business deferred

At its Jan. 11 meeting the Lower Alsace Board of Supervisors voted to approve the Dec. 31, 2023 Treasurer's report and the presented list of bills. Both motions were made by Supervisor Todd Weikel and seconded by Supervisor Ann Sellers; the minutes state the motions carried.
The board also considered a special-event permit application from Pretzel City Sports for four trail runs on Jan. 28, Feb. 25, March 24 and Sept. 1, 2024. The application was reviewed by Central Berks Police, Lower Alsace Fire and Lower Alsace Ambulance, each of which provided consent; Supervisor Ann Sellers moved to approve the permit, Supervisor Todd Weikel seconded, and "all voted yes to approve." The minutes do not record individual board vote tallies beyond those present.
Other items in old business were not acted on with formal votes at this meeting: discussion of American Rescue Plan Local Funds will be scheduled for a future meeting; zoning and property-maintenance reviews were directed to the Township Manager for follow up; and the Supervisor referred staffing questions for further discussion with the Central Berks Police Commission.
