At its Jan. 12 meeting the Harris City Council adopted Ordinance 2026‑01 to update the 2026 Fee Schedule following a public hearing and approval motion by Councilmember Al Siedow, seconded by Garret Pearson. The council also approved Resolution 2026‑02 containing findings on a fiber‑to‑the‑home (FTTH) project (motion by Craig Moline, seconded by Al Siedow) and approved Resolution 2026‑01 for annual appointments and designations, which designates First Resource Bank as the city depository.
The council approved appraisal services from Nagell Appraisal & Consulting for $2,200 to analyze water and sewer expansion impacts and authorized submission of a Preliminary Engineering Report for the water looping project. Council selected KLM to provide water tower services. The Conditional Use Permit for 45560 Forest Blvd was approved per the Planning Commission recommendation; the motion carried with a roll call of Aye: 4, Nay: 1 (Councilmember Craig Moline). Several zoning map updates including a proposed R1.5 district were discussed but no action was taken.
Other staff and department reports were received in writing. The meeting adjourned at 10:55 p.m.
