The Marquette County Judicial & Public Safety Committee opened its May 6 meeting, approved the agenda and earlier minutes, and received routine staff reports.
Ken Borzick moved to approve the agenda; Lance Achterberg seconded and the motion carried. Chuck Bornhoeft moved to approve the March 6 and March 18, 2025 minutes; Ken Borzick seconded and the motion carried.
Clerk of Court Shari Rudolph told the committee that the Property Committee toured her office and will proceed with a reception-area update. Sheriff Joe Konrath reported a successful PREA audit and said the audit report should be available next month; he also said the FY24 PSAP grant had been closed out. Konrath noted a $4,000 donation to wrap/decal a drone vehicle/ambulance to indicate its use by the Sheriff's Office, and the committee discussed drone use.
EM Director Lt. Aaron Williams said he held successful weather-spotter training in April, is updating campground storm-shelter information, and obtained $1,000 to purchase tourniquets and combat action gauze for deputies. No additional formal actions were taken; Chair Judi Nigbor adjourned the meeting at 3:03 p.m.
