Stephanie Frazee, the lead policy/tax policy specialist, summarized three rule actions: a documentation rule to implement exceptions under the State WARN Act (hearing held June 10; drafting CR103 for permanent adoption), an update to the claimant work‑registration rule (WAC 192‑180‑005; hearing held June 11; preparing CR103), and an expedited repeal (CR105 filed 04/28/2026) of an employer‑initiated layoff rule made duplicative by House Bill 2264. Frazee said the objection deadline for the expedited repeal is July 7 and so far no objections had been received.
Committee members offered no substantive objections during the meeting; staff said they would circulate documents and next steps to the group.
What happens next: the agency will finalize CR103 materials for the two permanent rule actions and monitor the July 7 objection deadline on the expedited repeal; the job‑search legislative report will be published publicly next week.
