The St. Martinville City Council on June 1 introduced three ordinances and scheduled a budget hearing for June 15 at 4 p.m. at City Hall.
The ordinances introduced include Ordinance No. 26-03, described as an amended operating budget of revenues and expenditures for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2025 and ending June 30, 2026, and Ordinance No. 26-04, an operating budget of revenues and expenditures for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2026 and ending June 30, 2027. The council set a Budget Hearing for June 15 to consider those budget items.
The council also introduced Ordinance No. 26-05 to authorize an act of sale by the city of an adjudicated property described in the minutes as parcel no. 17201c4742 (lot 33 x 100 s/33' of lot 4 blk. 2 Bienvenu sub). The ordinance language in the minutes references Louisiana Revised Statutes 47:2202 et seq. and authorizes the mayor to sign necessary documents related to the sale. All three ordinances were introduced for consideration at the June 15 council meeting; the minutes do not record debate or votes on the ordinances at the June 1 session.
No vote tallies or additional ordinance sponsors are listed in the meeting minutes; the transcript records only that the ordinances were introduced and will be considered on June 15.
