White Pine planning commission approves special permit behind post office; Beer Board grants permit to Toro Restaurant

Planning commission minutes recorded that the Lazaro family received a special permit to operate a welding shop with an associated residence on property behind the White Pine Post Office. The commission also granted a variance and approved a subdivision application for Rhonda Crittenden on Maple Street.
Separately, the Town of White Pine Beer Board on Dec. 3 unanimously approved a new beer permit for the new owners of Toro Restaurant at 1208 State Street. Chief Cotter told the board there were no known problems with the owner, who operates several restaurants in Morristown.
Council later appointed Mr. Woods as the council’s representative to the Planning Commission to replace Jarrad Stump.
The permits are recorded in the minutes as approved; staff will proceed with any required administrative follow-up such as permit issuance, inspections and recording of the subdivision filing.
