Commission seeks greater role in Plattwood playscape grant spending, will invite First Selectman

The commission agreed to invite the First Selectman to the June meeting to discuss the project and the grant’s scope.
Separately, commissioners agreed to explore possible recreational uses for town-owned property on Brockway Ferry Road. In response to a community inquiry, Anthony Mingrone said he would seek volunteers to revive the Pet Parade for Deep River Day.
The meeting adjourned at 8:08 p.m. after a motion by Chair Christopher Marra and a second by Jonathon Wolfer; the adjournment vote was recorded as unanimously approved.
