The committee also plans rotating lawn signs around town, in-person outreach at stores, and a sign-up table at the Memorial Day Parade to recruit orders. Two $1,800 benches associated with the project remain unsold.
The deadline extension to July 4 will give the committee more time to secure additional orders ahead of the town-wide semiquincentennial celebrations.
