Hart Board approves agenda, minutes, bills, two early graduations, trip and snow-removal contract

The Hart Board of Education on Oct. 20 approved its meeting agenda and a slate of routine and action items, including two early-graduation requests, a 5th-grade overnight field trip and a district snow-removal contract.
The agenda was approved unanimously after a motion by Andy Carter and a second by Mike Barefoot. The board then adopted the minutes from Sept. 15 and approved payment of bills, both by 7-0 votes.
On personnel-related actions, the board approved an early graduation request for Noe Rodriguez. The motion, made by Jeff Schaner and seconded by Mike Barefoot, passed 6-1; Steve Riley voted Nay. The board also approved an early graduation for Eduardo Martinez on a 7-0 vote after a motion by Steve Riley and a second by Kayla Dennert.
The board approved a proposed overnight 5th-grade trip to Greenfield Village for May 7, 2026. The motion was made by Mike Barefoot, seconded by Kayla Dennert, and passed 7-0.
On procurement, trustees voted 7-0 to award the district’s snow-plowing and salting contract for the 2025-26 school year to Hallack Contracting; the motion was made by Steve Riley and seconded by Mike Barefoot.
The meeting adjourned at 6:36 P.M. after a unanimous motion by Chad Coker and seconded by Kayla Dennert.
