EDC reviews RiverCog partnership, 18-month plan and business visits

Commissioners said a May Zoom training covered business retention and that they are developing an 18-month strategic plan with RiverCog support. Members discussed recent business visits: Mt. St John is under new stewardship and one segment of the property has reportedly been donated for preservation; Chapco has three large vacant floors and ownership expressed interest in partnering with the EDC and town to explore redevelopment options; and Haynes was reported to be thriving and committed to long-term operations in Deep River.
Commissioners discussed inviting the Mt. St John owners to a future meeting to clarify stewardship plans. No formal action or vote on the strategic plan or redevelopment steps was recorded in the minutes.
