The commission noted that Pond & Lakes pulled permits related to lake work, and members suggested holding educational sessions for residents so they understand any proposed changes and the rationale for access controls.
The commission referenced a recent POCD survey that received 655 responses; about 60% of respondents favored preserving the lake and improving its health. Recreation Director Shawn Mullen told the commission the operating budget is roughly 60% spent, with major costs tied to electricity for the aeration system and technical services. Members directed staff to work with Parks & Rec on a draft proposal for the Town Council to consider.
