Students and administrators report smooth start to school year; staffing and programs noted

Staff acknowledged one open custodian position and said the district is managing operations with existing custodial support. The early morning program run by Shannon Foster and the afternoon CLEO program run by Molly Murray were reported to be running smoothly; staff said these programs help with drop-off logistics and provide supervised time for students.
Administrators also noted a localized nuisance with bees near the gym dismissal door and described steps to limit attractants and improve trash collection around athletic areas. The committee heard reminders about back-to-school night scheduled Sept. 18 (6:00–8:30 p.m.) and upcoming public forums on the Monument Mountain project.
