The Berkshire Hills Regional School District School Committee unanimously approved acceptance of Bar Foundation grant number 25-37043 in the amount of $300,000 at its Sept. 11 meeting. The packet presented to the committee described the award as a two-year grant with approximately $157,000 expected in the first year and $143,000 in the second.
Committee members noted the Bar Foundation is a competitive public school funder in the region and that while the grant is broadly supportive it is tied to goals outlined in the district's proposal. The motion to accept the grant was made, seconded and carried by roll call.
The committee asked staff to proceed with any reporting obligations required by the funder and to integrate the grant into the district's FY27 planning.
