The Board of Estimate and Apportionment unanimously approved emergency negotiation authorization (ENA) for contracts and leases listed on Exhibit A to continue recovery work in tornado-impacted areas.
"I just want to note these are some contracts for the recovery office to continue work that we're doing in the tornado impacted area," the presiding official said when introducing the item. A motion to adopt the item for the first time was made, seconded and approved by roll call; Mayor Spencer, Controller Behinger and President Green each voted in the affirmative. The item was recorded as adopted "for the first time," meaning it was presented to the board in this special meeting for initial approval.
City officials said the contracts are intended to sustain recovery operations on the ground. No dollar totals or vendor names were specified during the meeting beyond the reference to Exhibit A. The board took the action to enable the recovery office to continue operations while additional approvals and administrative steps proceed.
