Dover Recycling Committee sets May event dates, seeks funding for community shredding

The Dover Recycling Committee on March 11 approved its February 11 minutes and set the committee’s spring outreach schedule, including a Special Recycling Day on Saturday, May 16, followed by a community shredding event on Sunday, May 17.
The committee recorded a 5-0 vote approving the prior meeting minutes. Committee members also reported that a funding request has been submitted to the Norfolk DA office to support the May 17 shredding event.
Committee members reviewed objectives for a COA presentation set for Tuesday, March 24; the minutes do not expand the COA abbreviation or specify who will present. The committee voted to add a quarterly textile and clothing collection for Generic Ministries, and noted NLFB dates in May, July, October and December annually to support grant scoring.
The committee announced that the next Repair Café will be held in Medfield in May 2026 and that April Clean‑up Month sign-up details have been posted on Dover’s Facebook pages. The group said it will create a QR code for placement at the Library and Community Center to simplify volunteer registration.
The meeting was opened by Jenn Leuthy at 7:11 p.m. and adjourned at 8:57 p.m. after a motion to adjourn passed by a 5-0 vote.
