Committee hears positive MSBA outreach for proposed new school; facilities repairs planned for 2026

Facilities staff briefed members on building projects and maintenance: elementary-school lighting-control upgrades and two newly installed cameras; playground wood chips and sand delivered; sidewalk and driveway crack sealing (hot-tar seal) planned for spring/summer 2026; middle-school heat-pump replacements and communication upgrades; high-school preventive maintenance and security-hardware sizing; wastewater-treatment plant valve replacements and diffuser replacements completed in summer 2025, which staff said have improved operations.
Committee members noted they would avoid detailed facilities planning until after the November 4 vote and thanked staff and the superintendent for the outreach effort and ongoing maintenance work.
