Pinnacle outlines pavilion and course renovations, says memberships capped with long wait list

David Taylor and Ty Lefler of Pinnacle Golf Management presented an update to council on Jan. 28 about course projects and memberships at the city-operated golf facility.
Taylor said the pavilion renovation is underway and on pace for completion by mid to late April. He described ongoing tree work around the Pines nine and said Eddie Smith & Sons will begin overlay work on the Pines nine cart path on Feb. 23 with expected completion in mid-March. Taylor noted a storm-drain sinkhole on hole No. 7 is scheduled for repair at the end of February. He added that, weather permitting, holes 10 and 18 and the chipping green will be renovated beginning in March with a target completion at the end of July. Taylor said all projects are being funded from golf reserves.
Ty Lefler said Pinnacle has capped memberships at 185 and currently has a waiting list of 94. He provided a membership breakdown: 73 resident memberships, 21 non-resident memberships, for a total of 112 individual members, 36 family members and 19 senior members. Lefler also noted the all-inclusive membership that once included cart, green and range fees (offered around 2008–2010) is no longer sold but those who have it were grandfathered.
Council did not take an action on the presentation; staff answered clarifying questions about timelines and funding.
