Titus County auditor flags website ADA costs and NetData contract in budget review

"We want to be compliant, but there may be, you know, we went from $5,000 for them to do our website to now they're wanting 13," the auditor said, urging a closer look and recommending delay where feasible given a 2028 statutory deadline for some compliance items.
Staff also discussed NetData (the county’s docket and records software), noting the contract renewal options: year-to-year at a larger annual increase or a multiyear contract that could lock in a lower rate. The county has to ensure software availability by Oct. 1 for dockets and county attorney use, and staff said migrating off the current system is a heavy lift and could take 12–18 months.
The auditor recommended budgeting cautiously, keeping contingency for technology and hosting decisions, and consulting Brian Technologies to compare hosting and service scenarios before finalizing the proposed budget.
