At 338 Main Street in South Dennis, homeowner Donald LaRoche reported backups and standing water in leaching pits. The Board found the system failed and granted temporary relief conditioned on immediate enrollment in a pumping schedule of once every six months, submission of pumping records to the Health Director, and an overriding requirement that the owner connect to municipal sewer as soon as connection is available in front of the property.
For 44 School Street (Weir Creek Realty Co. LLC), the Board found the system failed per inspection and granted temporary relief that requires the system to be pumped in mid‑July and once more before October closing each year until the property is connected to sewer; pumping records must be submitted to the Health Director.
The Board continued a number of matters for additional testing or plan submission, including 97 Great Western Road (extension request), 221 Main Street (change of use for GuestLodge pending a passing Title 5 inspection and floor plans), and several other properties scheduled for percolation testing in mid‑March. Where owners said properties were unoccupied for winter, the Board nevertheless insisted on documentation and timelines for compliance.
