Van Buren County Commission approves minutes and quarterly reports; tabs 401(k)/457(k) resolution

The Van Buren County Commission met Nov. 15, 2016 and approved the minutes from its Oct. 18 meeting and all presented quarterly reports. Commissioner Lesa Bouldin moved to approve the Oct. 18 minutes (seconded by Rip Van Winkle); the motion passed by voice vote. Lesa Bouldin also moved to approve all quarterly reports, seconded by Mickey Robinson; the motion passed by roll call.
On a separate matter, no action was taken on a proposed resolution concerning the county’s 401(k) and 457(k) plans until County Attorney Howard Upchurch can review the resolutions. Rip Van Winkle moved, seconded by Mickey Robinson, to table the resolution until the December meeting; the motion was approved by voice vote.
There was no old or new business listed for consideration, and the meeting was adjourned at 6:12 p.m. after a motion by Mickey Robinson and a second by Rip Van Winkle.
