At its Jan. 12, 2026 meeting the Albany Town Council unanimously approved the December 2025 meeting minutes and the December 2025 financial statements, and voted to hire Percy Brown as a full-time police officer with a starting date of Jan. 5, 2026.
Councilman Don Onofry moved to approve the December 2025 minutes; Councilman Jerry Glascock seconded and the motion passed with five yeas and no nays (K. Stewart, J. Glascock, G. Stilley, D. Onofry, J. Thomas). Councilwoman Kim Stewart moved to approve the December 2025 financials; John Thomas seconded and the council again voted unanimously to approve.
For personnel action, Councilman John Thomas moved to hire Percy Brown as a full-time police officer effective Jan. 5, 2026; Councilman Jerry Glascock seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
