Mr. Duplantis presented the Business Committee’s recommendation to approve the medical plan reinsurance renewal (option one) as presented by Mr. Buddy Lee of Gallagher Benefit Services. The renewal includes an annual specific stop‑loss deductible of $300,000; the board carried the motion by voice vote.
The board also approved a one‑year contract with Fed Logic to maximize health‑insurance benefits at a contract price of $61,776 and approved a one‑year contract with Faulk & Winkler CPAs for school auditing services at $53,750, both presented by the executive director of business services, Mrs. Chassid. In addition, the board awarded student transportation services for north, central and south areas to First Student; two First Student representatives addressed the board and emphasized child safety and partnership before the vote.
Board members indicated these actions followed committee review and carried without further amendment. No public testimony opposing the awards or contracts was recorded during the meeting.
