Parish President Mitch Oro said the parish will observe the week and encouraged residents to wear something patriotic on Nov. 11. The council did not take a separate vote on the proclamation beyond the presentation.
The proclamation sets a formal local observance; it does not create a funding commitment or new programmatic requirements and is intended as a symbolic recognition and encouragement for community-level support and awareness.
