At the June 30 special meeting the Montgomery County Public Schools board approved the consent agenda (items A–K) and multiple personnel reports, then addressed a procedural error in which addendums had not been included and reapproved the set after resending.
Superintendent Dr. Bird introduced personnel item 6A (certified personnel). A board member asked whether the board receives follow‑up on background checks for candidates. "It usually takes probably between two to four weeks" for the state department to return clearance notices, Dr. Bird said, explaining the state contracts with agencies such as ABI and the FBI and that the district receives notice when a check is cleared or not. He added that if a background check is not cleared the district would reverse action and resend the offer as necessary; he said the district had not yet had to do that in the recorded discussion.
Later in the meeting staff noted the addendums had been omitted from action items; Miss Brown moved to resend the items so the addendums could be added and Miss Cloud seconded the motion. The board approved the resend motion unanimously, and the superintendent then reintroduced personnel items 6A–6F (including the addenda), which the board approved by unanimous show of hands. The meeting then adjourned.
The transcript records unanimous approvals but does not show roll‑call vote tallies or list each board member’s individual vote on the record.
