The Denison City Council approved a set of repairs and maintenance measures for the Aquatic Center on May 20.
The Parks & Recreation Board recommended Gill Hardscapes and Construction perform plunge-pool repairs on a time-and-materials basis; council approved the work with a not-to-exceed cap of $20,000. Logan moved the motion and Zupp-Smith seconded; it passed unanimously.
Separately, the council approved an estimate from JF General Construction for indoor pool overflow drains and grate repair for $2,883.86. The council also approved a Planned Equipment Maintenance Proposal with Cummings Sales and Service, while requesting clarification on whether the agreement covered inspection-only or full-service maintenance before finalizing scope.
These actions were approved without recorded public comment; motions carried unanimously.
