Council members on June 17 discussed a proposal from AT&T to secure a 50-by-50-foot area around an existing facility. City Manager Garcia said AT&T is "looking for a 50 x 50 space around the current area," and the council indicated it was willing to pursue an agreement, including consideration of a permanent structure. Council asked Garcia to research what other communities receive for similar agreements and what DMU was receiving in rent.
Separately, the council moved to table a proposal to increase the property and liability cyber liability limit. Zupp-Smith moved to table the motion, Granzen seconded, and the council asked attorney Flaherty to return with additional information on policy coverage and options. The motion to table carried unanimously.
