Denison sets July 15 public hearing, approves engineering work and storm-sewer pay application for 2nd Avenue South project

The City of Denison on June 17 set a July 15, 2025, public hearing for the 2nd Avenue South Improvement Project and approved related engineering and construction payments.
Jason Eygabroad of Beck Engineering told the council the bid letting will be scheduled for July 11, 2025, and the public hearing for July 15, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. Council then introduced and approved Resolution #2025-30 setting that public hearing and voted to approve Beck Engineering’s proposal for design services for the project.
Council also approved Pay Application #1 to On Track Construction, LLC, for the 20th Street storm sewer improvements in the amount of $115,670.10. Eygabroad said remaining items on that contract include equipment pickup and final seeding, and he noted that On Track Construction had not yet started repairs on the 24th Street or 1st Avenue South storm sewer locations.
The actions to set the hearing, accept the engineering proposal and approve the pay application carried unanimously.
