Staff cited a range of preliminary figures in the meeting: Don't Panic Labs was mentioned with a materials figure of $223,200 (staff also signaled that staged phasing could yield lower outlays), another vendor’s bid was cited around $39,500, and monthly maintenance figures discussed ranged roughly from about $60/month to $1,350/month depending on vendor and service options. The board voted to accept all bids and referred them to the app committee with a return in roughly four weeks (committee meeting set for August 4); the motion passed 7-0.
The board indicated visitor-improvement/tourism dollars were an anticipated funding source for the app’s initial phase but asked for long-term cost and licensing details before an award decision.
