Wright County acknowledges first-quarter financial report; revenues and expenditures in expected ranges

Lindsay, the county presenter, walked the board through Wright County's first-quarter financial performance for 2026 on June 2.
"Total revenues across all major funds were just over 20,000,000 or 8.4% of the annual amended budget," Lindsay said, noting that timing of property-tax receipts affects the quarter and that total expenditures were nearly $44,000,000 or 18.3% of the budget. Lindsay flagged inflationary pressure in non-labor categories such as fuel and IT equipment and said the county will continue to monitor conditions and bring recommendations forward if necessary.
Board members thanked staff for the concise presentation and moved to acknowledge the report. The board voted unanimously to acknowledge the first-quarter financial report; the action was procedural and does not represent budget adoption or amendment.
