Committee members emphasized that completing a parks master plan would help the city secure grants and establish a clear funding and capital-improvement roadmap. Staff and members also discussed practical matters for a working group (meeting times, meeting room options, and the advisory-committee Open Meetings Act constraints on subcommittee size), and noted the effort will require frequent meetings and homework from members.
What’s next: Staff will distribute the prior-plan data and several sample master plans to the subcommittee; the working group will meet on the agreed schedule and report back to the full advisory committee for review and eventual presentation to city council.
