"I have to regrettably officially announce my resignation from the board. I've moved districts," the board member said, adding that he had contacted his city council member regarding the appointment of a successor.
Board members discussed whether a departing member may continue to serve until a replacement is appointed. The chair noted that historically departing members have sometimes continued to serve until a replacement was appointed, but several members said they preferred to wait to hold officer elections until the board is at full membership. Board member Catherine said she had reached out to Chris Anderson about appointments and preferred to schedule training after the new members were seated.
The board did not hold officer elections at the meeting; members agreed to wait until the full board is present before conducting elections and training.
