HINSDALE — The Hinsdale Select Board on March 16 authorized a $13,118.25 change order from Benedict Enterprises to cover removal of barrels at the Canal Street property by vendor Clean Harbors.
Town Administrator Kathryn Lynch presented the Change Order Request, which reserves a repayment right in the amount of $13,118.25. Taran Benedict told the board testing is ongoing and that four barrels of solid material remain to be characterized.
Selectman William Hodgman moved that the chair sign the change order; Bernie Rideout seconded. The motion passed by roll call with Selectman Mike Carrier and Selectman Jessica Green recorded as abstentions. The minutes record that the version presented was labeled a “draft” and that Benedict planned to bring an additional printed copy.
The board did not take additional action at the meeting to change testing procedures or timelines; Lynch directed staff to follow up and to provide updated documentation as it becomes available.
