Hinsdale board signs campground certifications, hears clerk on deeding process and admin updates

The Hinsdale Select Board authorized the chair to sign seasonal certifications for two recreational campground operators and heard administrative updates from the town clerk and town administrator at its March 30 meeting.
On a unanimous vote the board authorized Chair Steve Diorio to sign certifications allowing Thicket Hill MHC, LLC to operate a recreational campground/RV park and Mountain Side Camping LLC to operate a recreational campground/camping park for the season running April 1, 2026, through October 2026. The motion to authorize the chair to sign both certifications was made by William Hodgman and seconded by Bernie Rideout.
Town Clerk and Tax Collector Julie Seymour presented Town Meeting minutes and a list of properties to be deeded, described the deeding process (a letter from the clerk followed by a T.A. letter and then deeding), and said she will bring customary waivers to the next meeting. The board agreed to continue following the process.
Town Administrator Kathryn Lynch reported attending the swearing-in of Brattleboro Chief Jeremy Evans, distributed a “Basic Flow of a Select Board Meeting” document based on Robert’s Rules, and said the town expects to begin taping meetings next week with a goal of going live by the end of the month. Lynch also presented a rental-fee waiver request from a nonprofit group called Humble Servants (submitted via a contact named Bethany) for a spaghetti dinner at the Community Center; Selectman Hodgman recommended the group pay a refundable deposit if the fee is waived.
Board members also gave brief reports: Mike Carrier summarized recent library circulation and program numbers; Chair Diorio commended the highway department for pouring a concrete pad at the Transfer Station; and Jessica Green said the Parks and Recreation Committee reorganized with Ann Diorio serving again as chair and described a recent chili cookoff and upcoming events.
Public comment included a note that Highway and Water & Sewer staff will attend a Flagger Certification course in Winchester offered by Primex and a compliment to staff website updates. The board then entered a non-public personnel session under RSA 91:A:3 II(a) at 6:37 p.m., reconvened at 7:11 p.m., voted to seal the non-public minutes, and adjourned at 7:12 p.m.
