The Hinsdale Select Board on Jan. 27 approved a set of routine but consequential actions by unanimous votes.
Selectman Mike Carrier moved to approve the manifests for Jan. 19 and Jan. 26 and minutes (including public and non‑public minutes of Jan. 12 and public minutes of Jan. 19); the motion passed with all four board members recorded as voting "aye." The Board approved two Open Container/Alcohol permits for events at the Community Center and authorized the chair to sign them (motion by Selectman William Hodgman; second Carrier). The Board appointed Wayne Dingman as Fire Lieutenant (motion by Selectman Bernie Rideout; second Carrier) and approved tax abatements for Rhodes ($466.20) and Turant ($150.00), and three permanent property tax credits/exemptions (IDs 01262026A, 01262026B and 01262026C) on separate unanimous motions.
Bob Truesdell explained that Plain Road Extension had originally served summer cottages but now has year‑round residents; on a motion by Selectman Hodgman (second Carrier) the board authorized Highway to extend the plow line beyond property #1044. The Board also approved a Facility Rental Request for the Hinsdale High School semi‑formal on Feb. 14 (motion Hodgman, second Rideout). All recorded motions in the minutes show unanimous votes (Diorio, Carrier, Hodgman, Rideout).
