Community Development Director Julie Womble presented the Everest Village final plat, noting the site had a previously re‑established Planned Development‑Commercial‑1 (PD‑C1) and later amendments converting about 32.39 acres to Medium Density Residential and modifying roughly 17.12 acres to Planned Development‑Housing‑2 (PDH2). Womble said the approved zoning allows a 96‑bed assisted living facility and 12 duplexes (24 units) for a combined total of 120 dwelling units in addition to a medical site previously constructed on the east side of the property.
Womble told the commission the developer’s engineer certified that required improvements were constructed and that the plat dedicates ownership and maintenance responsibilities for private facilities, private drainage, sanitary sewer and stormwater drainage. Commissioners asked for clarification on the number of buildings and units and whether prior conditions (including access and road notations) remained in effect; Womble confirmed the plat reflects the modifications made during the zoning amendment and that an access easement between property owners existed for rear access to the development.
Vice Mayor Alex Cam moved to accept the final plat; Commissioner Keith Cowie seconded and the motion passed with all ayes.
