On July 21 the Auburndale City Commission tentatively approved the Revenue Section of the proposed Fiscal Year 2026 and Fiscal Year 2027 budgets and took the related procedural steps required under Florida law.
Finance Director Christopher Reeder presented line-item revenue changes across funds including General Fund, Community Redevelopment Agency Fund, Impact Fee Fund, Water and Sewer Connection Fees Fund, and the Enterprise Fund. Staff summarized fund totals and interfund transfer calculations and recommended tentative approval of the revenue section.
Staff reported the city’s existing millage is 4.2515 and calculated a rolled-back rate of 4.1142; staff recommended approving 4.1142 as the rolled-back rate and 4.2515 as the proposed operating millage for the Certificate of Taxable Value Form. The commission approved both rates and set the required public hearings for Thursday, Sept. 4, 2025 and Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025 at 7 p.m. at City Hall. The commission also set Monday, Aug. 11, 2025 as a Commission Day and tentative budget work session date.
