Seabrook Board of Adjustment approves variance for Toros Customs to operate automotive customization business

The variance authorizes automotive customization services including car stereo installation, window tinting, detailing and car wraps, along with storage of used vehicles and limited motor vehicle repair in Zone #3 Industrial. Applicant Ahmad Almadani told the board the business will relocate from North Andover and said there would be "no chemical use, just soapy water." He said no painting would occur on-site (any painting would be done off-site), no salvage vehicles would be stored, staffing would be about 10 employees, and the site would hold roughly 20 cars in total with about five customer vehicles at a time.
The board reviewed the petition against the variance criteria and recorded affirmative findings: that granting the variance is not contrary to the public interest, that the spirit of the ordinance is observed, that substantial justice would be done, and that literal enforcement would result in unnecessary hardship. Votes recorded on the findings show Karen Prescott, Rick Foye, Dennis Howes and Chairman Chris LeClaire voting "Yes." Rick Foye moved to accept the variance as written; Karen Prescott seconded. The motion carried; the board attached a condition limiting the approval to Toros Customs only.
The meeting began at 7:00 p.m.; the board noted it was not at full membership. The board approved the May 28, 2025 minutes earlier in the session. The meeting adjourned at 7:25 p.m.
The board did not record additional conditions or a detailed operational permit in the hearing; follow-up permits, inspections or business licensing required under town regulations would be separate administrative steps.
