Richland Parish School Board elects 2026 leadership, adopts meeting schedule and approves routine business

The Richland Parish School Board convened at 6:00 p.m. on Dec. 9, 2025, in Rayville and took a series of routine but organizational actions to set leadership and the calendar for 2026. All motions recorded carried unanimously among members present.
The board approved the Nov. 18, 2025 regular meeting minutes for publication in the official journal after a motion by Scott McKay and a second from Dr. Georgia Ineichen. The minutes record that six members were present and three were absent for the meeting; votes on motions are recorded as "Yeas: All; Nays: None."
Nicholas Raven was named Student of the Month for December, and Anteenee Thomas was named Employee of the Month. The board also received a report from Assessment and Accountability on the 2025 district and school performance scores; the minutes note receipt of the report but do not include details from that presentation.
The board approved a change of location for its Feb. 10, 2026 regular meeting, moving it from the Board Room at 411 Foster Street to the Rayville Rosenwald/Eula D. In leadership elections, the board elected Chris Pruitt as 2026 board president on a motion by Reed Trisler, seconded by Rev. William Cleveland.
